In this free resource guide written by Local Futures/International Society for Ecology and Culture (ISEC), there is a strong call that the leading causes of climate change are addressed.
ISEC argues that globalization – that is, the deregulation of trade and finance through an ongoing series of ‘free trade’ treaties – is the driving force behind climate change. As a result, the climate problem can only be tackled effectively if governments stop subsidizing globalization, and begin pursuing a localization agenda instead.
The 16-page paper was written by ISEC in the wake of the Paris climate talks. ISEC is a non-profit organization dedicated to the revitalization of cultural and biological diversity, and the strengthening of local communities and economies worldwide.
