Presenting Communities

Riverbed Ranch

Riverbed Ranch is creating a self-reliance community where families can extract themselves from being dependent on the power grid, gas company, city water, and grocery stores in Juab County, Utah. They’re mission is to make it as inexpensive as reasonably possible for a family to leave the lifestyle of dependences in the city and transition comfortably to a country culture of cooperation and self-reliance, debt-free and surrounded by other self-reliant families.

Valley of Light

The Valley of Light (“VOL”) is a sustainable spiritual community dedicated to the Principle of Peace and the Universal Laws of Truth, Love, and Light. They’re a community located in a high energy region within the New River Valley of Virginia. VOL is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains in a small town called Independence. They have 23 stunning acres along the New River, which is the oldest river in the Western Hemisphere and the third oldest river in the world.

Roots and Water

Roots and Water is a new community in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico where residents farm, forage food, have space for digital work, and most importantly grow together in their spiritual, emotional, and physical lives. They dive deeply into their own spiritual or religious practices within a multi-faith community, and live in close harmony with nature, leaning into a disciplined, minimalist, and contemplative lifestyle.

Loved by Community Builders

What a beautiful gift to our intentional community builders and leaders! FIC’s programs provide a way for thinking and concerned people to collaborate for solutions to our multitude of global crises. Thank you FIC! – Terri Garcia

I am constantly impressed by the down-to-earth practicality of the FIC workshops combined with the philosophical questions that are so vital for us to explore. I’m grateful for the excellent planning and delivery of the workshops by skilled and inclusive presenters, who create a space that is both welcoming and invites participants to challenge existing ideas and world views. Well done and thank you FIC. – Claire Ogden
