Hello All, I am looking to be a seasonal guest and co-worker at an intentional community that would benefit from freely offered trainings in sociocracy.  I am currently involved in a seasonal community living experiment with a couple of well-aligned friends in Bellingham, Washington, U.S.A., and would love to go somewhere sunny and warm over the winter months- around December-February.  During this time, I will be wrapping up my certification program as a trainer of sociocracy, and will need to carry out several trainings to earn my certificate.  I would love if those trainings could benefit a couple of intentional communities- and would love even more if one of those communities were in a tropical place I could retreat to for the winter! I am looking for a mutually beneficial cultural and energetic exchange- one that uplifts, connects, and supports all involved.   In case you are not familiar with sociocracy, it is a governance model based in consent decision-making and circular hierarchy, or hierarchy of specificity.  You can learn more about sociocracy by visiting Sociocracy For All, the virtual school I am completing my certification through. A bit about me and my offerings… I see myself as a creative problem-solver, initiator, and someone who naturally holds the whole and integrates the parts.  Collaboration, resourcefulness, curiosity, openness, and compassion are all very important to me.  I also see myself as a culinary artist and am interested in growing wholesome food and preparing it with love for the nourishment of all.  Additionally, I would love to practice the healing art of reiki with those who could benefit from it and hold space for or participate in conscious movement practices. My first communal living experience was in 1972. Since then there have been many group housing situations. Now as a partly-retired grandmother, I no longer wish to live alone. I want to share in a positive way my abilities & skills. I don’t have a great deal of money but do have many talents to bring to a community. I’m a clean, sober, reliable hardworking woman. I cooked professionally, worked as an office manager, records specialist, and facilities manager. I am secular, open-minded and self-motivated. I’m partial to the Northwest (SF-Seattle). I have resources but want to add to my/our support by working. I can’t afford an expensive co-housing unit but I make living spaces better than it was before my arrival. Please help a gal find a home.
