Cohouseholding Project

From ICWiki

This collaborative project is defining and promoting a sustainable model for sharing homes which have, generally, been designed for single families. It is integrating hard-won knowledge from existing coop houses and collectives, as well as cohousing and intentional communities. The project research is drawing from organized home share programs and aligned experts, including attorneys, architects, real estate professionals, investors, and community activists.

History

This project was conceived in early 2011 by Craig “Oz” Ragland, after he retired from his role as the Executive Director of Coho/US, the Cohousing Association of the United States. Marilyn Hanna-Myrick joined the project team in 2012. In late 2012, we began active research, including shared household visits and started forming our advisory board.
