August 31 - September 3, Louisa

An FIC
co-sponsored event
A chance to network and learn about
communal lifestyles—from
co-housing and co-ops to
communes and
ecovillages—at one of the best-known
intentional
communities in North America.
"Sharing is the key to a
better world!"
If you live—or want to
live—according to the ideals
of sustainability, cooperation and equality, join us at the
annual
Twin Oaks Communities Conference this Labor Day Weekend.
In light of the recent Occupy
Movement,
the 2012 Conference will focus on resource
sharing.*

Last year, thousands of people banded together to
demonstrate their
disapproval of the current "system." What’s the next
step? Whether
it's living communally, being a part of a worker-owned
business or
car-sharing, we want to encourage folks to create community
and share
resources in any way they can. In addition to protesting
existing
systems, let's help each other create new ones!
Attend workshops on
- Starting and maintaining a worker-owned
cooperative
- Sharing the big stuff: cars, land, homes
- Communal permaculture
- Connectivity & non-violent
communication
- and much more
*Do you have something you could bring to the table
this year? We’re looking for workshop/discussion leaders and
ideas. Email us Conference@TwinOaks.org
