FIC Organizational
Meeting,
April 22—24, Carrboro NC
plus Celebration Of FIC’s 25th Anniversary April 21

You’re invited to our spring organizational
meetings
Sun–Tue April 22–24, 2012 at Arcadia
cohousing
community, Carrboro NC. The last time we met in the
Tarheel
State was over 10 years ago. While we may be too late for the
dogwoods
the weather should be beautiful.
Also: a regional gathering of folks interested in
community Sat. April 21 in nearby Durham. We’ll talk about the
future of intentional communities, share our thinking about the
challenges and opportunities of climate change, peak oil, the mortgage
crisis, and the Occupy movement, plus in the evening you can
help us celebrate FIC’s 25th anniversary!
Find out what the Fellowship is doing: join us for
any or all of our four days of meetings and celebration. The
Sunday–Tuesday agenda includes: how to incorporate more video in
our offerings, how to inspire more subscriptions to Communities
magazine, and how to be a savvy ally for the many initiatives trying to
increase awareness of the need for more sustainable practices.
Community networking opportunity, discuss
how to handle challenges
your group is facing, get together with community veterans,
see where
you might fit in, and witness the consensus process as
practiced by
a group that’s been at it for a quarter century. We
hope you’ll
join us for the camaraderie and stimulating conversation!
See our board
meetings webpage for past event locations, and more
