A one-day community event featuring
three generations of community builders.

On May 21st, the FIC will be bringing the Art of Community to Chicago, and this is your invitation to get in on the fun. Get your tickets today for this great event.

The day will feature a special panel with three generations of community builders sharing lessons, commonalities and what they are excited about in 2011, a special pre-release screening of Within Reach movie (see it before it's hot!) and our bread and butter workshops on:

  • Consensus and Facilitation with Laird Schaub
  • Guerilla Community Building with Harvey Baker
  • Starting an Intentional Community with Ma'ikwe Schaub Ludwig
  • Ecovillages with Tony Sirna and Ma'ikwe Schaub Ludwig
  • Cohousing with Raines Cohen and Betsy Morris

We'll also be joined by Mingwei Haung of the North American Students of Cooperation (NASCO), Lisa Paulson, author of An Unconventional Journey, filmmakers Mandy Creighton and Ryan Mlynarczyk, creators of the Within Reach movie, and members of Jesus People USA sharing what they've learned in 30 years of living together.

Check out our program schedule online.

For more information, go to the FIC's Art of Community webpage or contact our Community Building Day coordinator, Ma'ikwe: maikwe@solspace.net

Make plans to join us next month in Chicago!
