Please Join Us - Help Promote Community
By Tony Sirna, FIC Web Director
The Fellowship for Intentional
Community invites you to join us in promoting intentional community on Facebook. At the end of last year we took the leap into the Facebook world by creating a Facebook Cause called Promote Intentional Community and Cooperative Living. If you are on Facebook you can join our cause and help us promote intentional community and cooperative living by inviting your friends to join the cause as well.
Facebook gives us an additional way to stay connected with you and to give you updates on the FIC and what's new in the communities movement. We will post news about our publications like the Intentional Communities website, Communities magazine, and the Communities Directory as well as invitations to events like our Art of Community weekends and our board meetings. Plus we hope to foster ongoing discussions and dialog on community topics among our members.
Since our cause was launched in December we've surpassed the 2800 member mark! Help us grow the intentional communities movement:
Facebook Causes also allow you or your friends to make a tax-deductible donation to the FIC, even if they are not on Facebook. Please consider making a donation today and encouraging your friends to do so as well. Even $10 helps
keep the FIC promoting community!
In case you don't know, Facebook is an online social networking site that allows you to connect and share with friends, coworkers, family, and other people in your life. Facebook has over 500 million users and is adding 5+ million users per week. It is already proving to be a great place for us to promote Intentional Community and the FIC.
